This film is an attempt to visually capture the emotional expressions and the altered state of consciousness during the religious practice of Sufism, which I have failed to discuss in two previous papers that I have written on the Jazuliya Shadhuliya Order in contemporary Egypt.
この作品は、現代エジプトにおけるスーフィー教団の宗教実践に見られる感情の発露あるいはトランスを収めた映像を編集したものである。作品中で主に扱っているジャーズーリーヤ教団に関しては、既に２つの論文で考察を行った。その中で特に記述するのが難しかったのが、感情の発露、トランスである。この作品は、そうした文字媒体による表現の困難さを映像表現の可能性に託したものである。
